Biografía (About)

Después de recibirme en  Bellas Artes y como me gusta trabajar con gente y que la obra se transforme en algo colectivo, estudié  Escenografía junto a los grandes maestros, Victor De Pilla y Alicia Gumá.

Pude conocer el teatro tras bambalinas. Un mundo increíble, que me acercó a otros artistas. Los que acompañan a una obra teatral. Aprendí a hacer sombreros, vestuarios, zapatos, escenografías y sobre todo, a respetar el espíritu de un texto. Y llevarlo al escenario.

Después de algunos años, volví a dar clases de Arte. Enseñar te abre caminos y te pone en contacto con los chicos. Mis alumnos y mis hijos, me acercaron a los libros infantiles. Un mundo ilimitado, que me había atrapado en mi niñez y que ahora, a través de la ilustración, no para de mostrarme lugares imaginarios.
Estudié con las ilustradoras Jimena Tello, Gabriela Burín, Isol y Cristian Turdera. 
También participé de seminarios con Paloma Valdivia, Isidro Ferrer, Margorie Pourget, Marta Altés, entre otros.

Acompañar el trabajo escrito de otro, ayuda a concretar todas las ideas que viven en mi. Se transforma en la obra de dos. Y lo estimulante de todo este proceso creativo, es que otros la continúan con su imaginación, la completan. Los lectores, los narradores.

Una amiga enamorada de la literatura una vez me dijo que los libros esperaban. Ellos están cerca de uno, sin entrometerse. Están expectantes. Esperando al próximo lector.

El libro democratiza al el arte. Todos aquellos que no llegan al museo, no pueden comprarse una obra o nadie les acercó la idea de que el arte es para todos, tienen una oportunidad con el libro ilustrado. Podemos llevar al arte a todos los rincones que esperan fascinarse con un nuevo mundo.

After graduating in Fine Arts and since I like to work with people and that the work becomes something collective, I studied Scenography with the great masters, Victor De Pilla and Alicia Gumá.

I was able to get to know the theater behind the scenes. An incredible world, which brought me closer to other artists. Those who accompany a play. I learned to make hats, costumes, shoes, scenery and above all, to respect the spirit of a text. And bring it to the stage.

After a few years, I went back to teaching Art. Teaching opens up paths and puts you in touch with children. My students and my children, brought me closer to children's books. An unlimited world, which had trapped me in my childhood and which now, through illustration, does not stop showing me imaginary places.

I studied with the illustrators Jimena Tello, Gabriela Burín, Isol and Cristian Turdera. 

I also participated in seminars with Paloma Valdivia, Isidro Ferrer, Margorie Pourget, Marta Altés, among others.

Accompanying the written work of another, helps to realize all the ideas that live in me. It becomes the work of two. And what is stimulating about this whole creative process is that others continue it with their imagination, they complete it. The readers, the narrators.

A friend in love with literature once told me that books wait. They are close to you, without intruding. They are expectant. Waiting for the next reader.

The book democratizes art. All those who don't come to the museum, can't buy a work of art or nobody brought them the idea that art is for everybody, have a chance with the picture book. We can take art to all the corners that are waiting to be fascinated with a new world.
